Wayne County Dairy Newark Princess Gabriella Taylor recently visited one of the first babies born at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital during National Dairy Month.

On behalf of the local dairy industry, Taylor surprised the baby and family with a basket full of milk-themed gifts. Paxton Ternoois, son of Amira and Dylan Ternoois, from Sodus, was born on June 3rd at the Marshall Birthing Center in Newark-Wayne.

“June is National Dairy Month, a month when dairy farmers recognize the hard work and challenges we have overcome to continue to care for our animals, our land and our community,” said Taylor. “To celebrate, we gave this June baby, born in Wayne County, a present. We can’t wait to see what’s next for the dairy industry and this baby in such a special month. ”

This year’s visit to the Dairy Princess was carried out in accordance with current safety protocols. Taylor worked with hospital staff to deliver the baby’s gift and a personal note.
