Newark leadership announced that anyone stopped while driving will not be arrested with pending traffic or a non-indictable warrant not related to domestic violence.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara made the announcement on Saturday.

Newark Police Department will temporarily not arrest anyone with pending traffic orders and unprovable bank orders of $ 500 or less.

The new measure is intended to be temporary until further notice and is effective immediately.
