Alexandra Hill joined WBGO in June 2012 in the news department. A graduate of the Rutgers Newark Journalism Program, Alexandra was also a student of WBGO News Director Doug Doyle. Alexandra has since served as the general-purpose reporter, afternoon newscaster, and producer of the award-winning live call on the Newark Today show. Since working for WBGO, Alexandra has reported on politics in and around Newark, including Mayor Ras Baraka’s 2014 mayoral campaign and former Mayor of Newark and now US Senator Cory Booker’s 2013-2014 Senate campaigns. Alexandra also reports on one Variety of people-interested stories and was recognized by the New York Black Journalists’ Association for their play entitled Sheltering Newarks Homeless.
