About a year after selling a former bank property in downtown Jersey City for more than $ 5 million, the company that bought the premises has announced what it plans to bring to the location.

Landmark Developers is planning a hotel called “The Albion” along with a Felina restaurant on 201 Newark Avenue, a package on the corner of Jersey Avenue.

Newly released renders indicate that the company is aiming to adaptively reuse the old New Jersey Capital One and Trust Company building to facilitate the restaurant’s development. The company would also carry out several stories of new builds around and above the long-standing building to complete the entire hotel project.

According to Landmark, the lobby on the second floor of the Albion would be open to the public. The company says hotel guests could check in using an app.

A pool, fitness area, a largely closed roof and mechanical parking spaces are also planned as part of the project.

The settlement’s Felina restaurant would be the second of its kind in New Jersey. A separate location is currently in another former bank in downtown Ridgewood.

These plans have yet to go through the approval process.
