Nearly 50 senior players took part in the Newark Rugby Club’s first training session since restrictions on community sports were lifted.
With the help of the warm temperatures, players aged 18 and over were introduced on Tuesday evening, including newcomers, regular players from the first team and familiar faces who wanted a run.
When the sporting restrictions were lifted last week, the club said they wanted to build for the coming season and appealed to new players to join their weekly training sessions, which take place on Thursdays from 7:30 p.m.

The youth groups also returned during the week in force, while the mini-section enjoyed its first session on Sunday.
The club has planned a friendly double header against Southwell.
