According to MPs, a 65-year-old Newark man was taken into custody after a car accident on RT. 414 in rose.

John Curry, 65, of Newark, has been charged with DWI. He drove with a BAC of over 0.08% and moved uncertainly off the lane.

The charges stem from an investigation into that accident in which Curry left the street and hit a telephone pole. It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday

Curry suffered minor injuries but was found drunk during the investigation. When its BAC was tested, it was found to be 0.13%.

Curry has been posted on train tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.

No other injuries were reported in the incident.
