The Newark Central School District Board of Education has elected Susan Hasenauer as the next superintendent of schools.

Hasenauer comes to the district with more than 27 years of educational experience, 16 of which were in management positions. She joins Pride in Newark from Brockport Central School District where she served as the Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education.

“We are very excited to welcome Ms. Hasenauer to the Newark Central School District,” said Russell Harris, President of the Board of Education. “The search process made it clear that Ms. Hasenauer’s vision and passion match the needs and culture of our district. The experience and skills she brings will support and expand our tradition of focusing on each student, every day. “

“It is an absolute privilege to be the next superintendent to join the Newark Central School District,” added Hasenauer. “I am excited to meet each of you and build relationships. The Newark community has a strong history and culture, and I look forward to capitalizing on the opportunities now and building on what we already have. “
