The children at Lovers’ Lane Primary School in Newark worked with the Morrisons grocery store to make Easter cards for the community, including nursing homes.
They were supplied by employees of the Newark store.
Assistant Principal Amy Graham said, “During the pandemic, this has shown the value of community collaboration.
Elementary school students on Lovers’ Lane have made Easter cards for Morrisons to be distributed to nursing home residents. “During the last lockdown, Morrisons kindly provided groceries and other items to supplement our grocery packages and support families in our school community affected by covid-19.
“With collaboration being one of Lovers’ Lane’s core values, we were delighted that the children were able to use their artistic and craft skills to create Easter cards for the community.
“We hope they’ll put a smile on someone’s face at Easter.”
